Welcome to Cochran IEP Consulting

I’m a veteran special education teacher with over 15 years of experience supporting students with diverse needs, including learning disabilities, ADHD, neurodiversity, and medical or physical challenges.

While I specialize in transition-aged teens, I work with students of all ages to ensure their school programming supports their unique future goals.

I offer independent, third-party review of IEPs and educational plans  helping families feel confident that what’s in place today truly supports success tomorrow.

My Services

I help families navigate IEPs, 504 plans, and transition planning with a focus on making sure a student’s current supports align with their future goals. I specialize in helping middle and high school students prepare for life after graduation, whether that includes college, trade school, employment, or other post-secondary pathways.

What makes my approach unique is my focus on connecting a student’s current educational plan to their long-term interests, strengths, and real-world goals—so families are not just planning for the next school year, but for what comes after. Through personalized consultation and document review, I help families understand their options and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

Additional Services

In addition to general IEP and transition consulting, I offer targeted support for families navigating career planning, vocational pathways, and adult services. I help students and families explore options beyond traditional college routes, including vocational training, employment readiness, community-based programs, and skill development aligned with a student’s strengths, interests, and long-term goals. I also guide families through the often overwhelming process of understanding and accessing adult services, including eligibility requirements, timelines, agency coordination, and planning for greater independence after high school. These services can be provided as part of a broader transition planning process or as standalone support for families focused specifically on career development or adult life planning.
