Terms of Understanding
- Consultant agrees to communicate at least weekly with Client about status of inquiries or tasks.
- Client agrees to communicate weekly if there are changes to Student’s educational, social, housing, or other aspects.
- Client agrees that Consultant is working on a part-time basis, and will likely not be able to commit to more than 2-4 hours/week.
- Client agrees that Consultant will likely not attend school/agency meetings with Client/Student, but will prepare questions and resources in advance (with Client/Student input) for use and support.
- Consultant agrees to adhere to standard (legal and societal) rules around conflicts of interest, awareness of bias, and similar constraints.
- Client agrees to engage and promote the Student’s interests and passions (even over that of the Client) at all times when interacting with the Consultant and educational, social, or governmental agencies. Exceptions are for the health, safety, and wellbeing of the Student.
